Dear Mr. and Mrs. Hollywood,
I do enjoy your movies. You were great in your last drama/comedy/horror/animated/chick-flick/action-adventure film!
There is one tiny little thing I wish you could understand.
Your attempts at influencing the political outcome of this country (especially those of you who aren't American citizens) with your silly, out-of-touch, uneducated, and misinformed statements are truly not helping the political process. If you were remotely in tune with the average American, you'd understand we just don't care what you think about the candidates, their political parties, or their policies. Most of us actually find your political statements extremely irritating. Of course, there are those who will value your opinions of such things as much as you do. Those who base their vote solely on who YOU choose to vote for really shouldn't be voting, but they do and are not making a truly informed decision. Does this not bother you?
Please, just go back to reading your scripts, driving that hybrid car the rest of us have to wait 9 months to get, and pretending to be "normal" while living lives the majority of people on the planet can't imagine living.
Seriously. Let the hard working, average folks of this country decide its political fate without your annoying interference. Your opinion is truly no more important than ours.
Your fan,
Ms. Average American
